    So the physical economy is set to hit a brick wall, and investors should prepare themselves appropriately for this. Great, I guess some regular stretching exercises might help.

    BTW: those “coco” bonds seem like the worst of all possible deals for the buyer. Generally someone buying a bond is looking for low risk and certainty because they might be a bit pessimistic about the future, someone buying a stock on the other hand would do so out of optimism and a belief they will get a better share of the profits. With the “coco” you get all the low returns of the bond, with all the risk of the stock, and you don’t even get a vote as a shareholder… very dirty offloading these shitty instruments onto householders.

    Fascinating relationship between the Trump campaign and Deutsche Bank. So difficult to keep money out of politics, but there you go — money is power and power is money.

    Can’t remember which episode of LMS discussed negative rates getting imposed on banking customers, so I’m sticking it here as a reference for future historians who might be trying to figure out what became of us.
