Science Shows the Majesty (and Easter Eggs) of God

Religious 13 Comments

(I’m using that term in its colloquial sense.) My Bible study partner sent me this video. There are some surprises near the end, but I don’t want to spoil them. If you are a believer I think you will really enjoy this.

If you’re really an avid Free Advice fan, you might notice how this relates to my thought experiment regarding Intelligent Design, when I tried to show the absurdity of people who argued that in principle you couldn’t use observations of nature to conclude that a God existed.

At first I was worried E Harding that there was going to be a decent critique. But that was really stupid. In any event, that video mentions one of the things this guy talked about in the video I posted, but not the other one. (Mine doesn’t talk about the quasar and its “drumming.”)

To clarify, it would be like Lord Keynes linking to a 5 minute refutation of Austrian business cycle theory, which spent the first 4:30 walking through the implications of someone trying to argue that unemployment in Vienna was tied to Fed policy.

Thanks for sharing the link. Just finished watching it, and all I can say is “wow.” Am part of a weekly Bible study group, and the next time we have a gap in our schedule and need a one-off topic, I’m playing this video.

I really love your work on economics, but am disappointed that you believe in this Intelligent Design mumbo jumbo. Stick to your day job, buddy.

Thomas, notice that if you ever shared one of my econ lectures on social media, someone could say to you, “Thomas, I really love your chosen profession, but am disappointed you believe in this Austrian mumbo jumbo. Stick to your day job, buddy.”

Just expressing my opinion, chum. I still love ya.

Your doubters are all Thomas now?

    • brad says:

I believe he said “Thomas” because he was replying to me, and my last name is Thomas. Its in my e-mail address, which isn’t shown.

      • Bob Murphy says:

Right, it wasn’t clear from your email which was first and last name.
