Non-Conformists

Humor 10 Comments

According to my anecdotal evidence, David Friedman and I are the only economics bloggers who ignored the 100th anniversary of Milton Friedman’s birth. We focus on ideas, not people. We follow our hearts, not the crowd. Where others run, we walk. Where others drink, we slurp. Others write of anarchy; we live it.

This post would have been even more hilarious if you had put it under Shameless Self-Promotion.

Anarchy: ignoring birthdays since the middle Paleolithic era.

It’s strange: your colleagues over at Bastiat Circle also did not mention Friedman’s birthday. Moreover, I am sure they don’t like him at all, influenced by Murray Rothbard and Ludwig von Mises who also did not like him. It is funny – you rjust confessed you only recognize Bryan D. Friedman as your fellow economists bloggers. Not Joe Salerno and Peter Klein for example.

Nikolaj, I agree my post was funny. I’m not sure about the rest of your commentary though.
