Toy Story 3 Is Amazing
We saw it on Sunday, and I was blown away. I don’t want to say anything else and spoil it. But if you have kids in the right age group, and you generally like the worldview of this blog, then I think this is a movie worth seeing in the theaters. One guy actually clapped at the end, which is a dying tradition.
Clapping is alive and well here in Salt Lake. Most recently, we (everyone) clapped multiple times during The Karate Kid.
Bob,
I declared it the Libertarian Toy Story 3.
I was in a theater of about 200 people, couples, children and families, young and old alike and the entire theater clapped at the end of the film (those who weren’t weeping openly, as several of the women and less brawny men-folk were).
I may have dabbed my eye near the end. But it was itchy, really.
I’m sure you were just allergic.
Allergic to sadness.
Applause thundered here in Metro Detroit as well. If I had to be picky, my only complaint would be that the villain (I can’t remember the bear’s name) reminded me too much of the Prospector from Toy Story 2.
I love at the end when Barbie says, “Authority should derive from the consent of the governed; not from the threat of force,”
