So I’d like to share that I have sometimes experimented with trying to remove jesting from my speech — because jesting seems to be commonly misunderstood, i.e. taken literally, by people who are not exactly on the same wavelength with the speaker.
But then again, jesting is such a common human trait, it must serve some useful purpose.
