While I don’t agree with the supposed aim of the protestors — that of disrupting commerce — their treatment by the police is absolutely despicable. If I had to guess, I would bet that 90% of the protestors support things like police unions and would have felt very much at home at the Wisconsin courthouse protests. So it’s ironic and I’m tempted to smirk, but it’s literally gut-wrenching to watch this footage.
So at home, I suspect, that many of these “protestors”, like their counterparts in WI, were paid to be there. I generally take a very dim view of the police as well, but really, is it necessary to condemn the very real problem of police brutality/militarization by sympathizing with a bunch of dead-beats intent on disturbing legitimate public order?
am i the only one who finds it funny that its officer bologna whos committing the abuse? no amount of violence will ever make ppl think its not pronounced baloney. he will be damned to forever carry the same shame as john boner.
I am appalled. Then again when you offer low pay this is roughly what you can expect. Either you attract people who love justice and there are plenty of those, or you attract people interested in status and power.
Guess you missed the year 1968 in history class .. these hard left boomers love nothing more than re-living 1968 via some that somehow gives them a flashback to those “good times”.

No. Clearly it is not necessary. I nonetheless condemn and sympathize (empathize?).

But the state and its agents want to help us. . . Right?

I’d bet that if the assaulted people were a minority that there would be riots on the street.

O’Donnell is simply supporting and defending his team in battle for socialism.
