We’re #75! We’re #75!

Shameless Self-Promotion 6 Comments

I’m extrapolating, but that’s my guess from these rankings of libertarian websites. LRC is of course #1, with the Mises Institute at #3.

I’d like to thank all of you for making this possible. Just the other day, I got a fat check from Google Adsense, which Bob Wenzel would not classify as savings by any stretch.

Congrats. We’re the grateful ones. Thanks for doing what you do.

BTW, the top 50 list is interesting. I wouldn’t have classified The Big Picture, for example, or Marginal Revolution, as libertarian.

  2. Robert says:

The Marginal Revolution isn’t even remotely libertarian. Being able to recognize the economic benefits of free markets is not enough to be a libertarian. I think MR is actually a perfect illustration of that.

    It’s hoarding.

We have to help you get to at least the top 10. Nothing against the other sites, but this site is far better than a lot of them, even when I get exposed as a moron more often than I’d like, LOL.

How could he? You were too busy hoarding the check as soon as you received it.

Hey, when you cash the check, and you end up spending a portion of it, if any, on some boxing equipment for your upcoming (hopefully) debate with Krugman that he seems to be dodging, like you’re dodging my 3 criticisms of the liquidity preference theory of interest, then after you have “parted with liquidity,” let me know how much interest the sports store rewards you with, and I’ll concede the liquidity theory of interest is true and that Mises was Dr. McGoo.

Congrats on the honorable mention, Bob. I am glad to see that you’re on the list (well, the missed list). For a personal blog, I would say that that isn’t too shabby, especially considering that you work full-time, have kids, and a wife (i.e. cannot devote a whole lot of time to things like blogs).

I do think that it is helpful that you like to leave the comments open. That is, of course, until those gremlins at WP start acting up.

Interesting. I read The Big Picture fairly regularly, but I would never call it a “libertarian” blog.

At any rate, congratulations! You deserve it.
