Tax Treatment Bask

I have a client who wants to know if there is some kind of clearinghouse document put out by an “official” source that explains changes in the tax treatment of assets. For example, there was a major change in the treatment of real estate in the 1980s, etc.

Any ideas?

    Call your local law school law library and see how many years of the CCH Standard Federal Tax Reporter they have for your entertainment. Today at the University of Detroit Mercy law library:

    It might be easier to use the paperback Master Tax Guide for the years in question if they have those.
