Then they&#039;re called &quot;Depressions&quot;.</description>

		<description>I don&#039;t understand the last part.   You give credence to Hoover&#039;s claim that he did more to fight the depression than any previous president in US history.  I thought the Depression started under Hoover&#039;s watch and ended under FDR.  Previous presidents did not do much to fight the depression because there was no depression under their watch.  Am I going crazy?  Please clarify for me what I&#039;m missing.</description>
